Hello everyone, I hope you are well.

Today I will tell you about my career (theatrical design) although I will not tell you what the career is about, but rather I will talk to you about the changes that I would make to improve the conditions in which future theater designers are trained.

I am already in my fourth year, the last one I must take to obtain my degree, so I have several ideas for changes in the way my degree is taught.

First of all, I would make changes to the curriculum. If it were up to me, I would shorten the class hours, since we have to do a lot of manual activities outside of class hours and every day we have to be there from ten in the morning until six in the afternoon, so there is very little left time to work and that means that we often have to stay up late to do the work.

Secondly, I would hire new teachers who have a teaching background, since the ones we have only have their experience as professional designers, but do not have a teaching career and that makes teaching difficult.

Finally, it would modify the infrastructure of the faculty, since it does not have the necessary technical resources. I would buy new spotlights and lighting tables, as well as computers that include editing programs such as Photoshop and 3D modeling programs such as Sketch up.

As you can see, studying arts in Chile is difficult. However, every day we strive to improve by doing what we are passionate about and with the means we have.
